Matthew 16:18 (NKJV)<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><b>Thank you for the tremendous response to the 2026 Alaska Construction Project.\u00a0 Sign-ups for this first season are now complete<\/b><b>, but last minute opportunities to join us in Alaska may arise<\/b><b>.\u00a0 <\/b><b>If you\u2019d like to be on our standby list for late openings, please register using the free waitlist ticket.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose:<\/strong>\u00a0 To build &#8220;The Rock&#8221; Lodge on Prince of Wales Island, Alaska; strengthen relationships of current Blast &amp; Cast volunteers and staff; and introduce the local community to Blast &amp; Cast Men&#8217;s Ministries.\u00a0 When completed, &#8220;The Rock&#8221; Lodge will be used to facilitate the hosting of low-cost, budget-friendly Blast &amp; Cast events in Alaska.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Description:\u00a0 <\/strong>Volunteers will assist in the construction of &#8220;The Rock&#8221; Lodge.\u00a0 All interested construction volunteers will answer a series of questions that will help the Event Chairman schedule volunteers based on the timeline of construction and each volunteer&#8217;s construction skills and specialties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Length of Stay:\u00a0<\/strong>Minimum stay of one week; arriving at the Lodge on Saturday and departing the Lodge the following Saturday.\u00a0 Maximum stay of two weeks unless previously approved by Event Chairman.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liability\/Minors: \u00a0<\/strong>All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver. Participants must be at least 16 years old for this event, and all participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lodging:<\/strong>\u00a0 The cost of lodging is included and will be provided at Christmas Creek Cabin, Coffman Cove, Alaska 99918<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meals:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Food\/beverages are included (excluding alcohol)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Costs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Airfare to\/from Alaska (approximately $500-$700 round trip);<\/li>\n<li>Alaska Inter-Island Ferry from Ketchikan, AK to Hollis, AK (approx. $130\/round trip);<\/li>\n<li>Fishing Boat fuel (approx. $150);<\/li>\n<li>Any additional snacks\/drinks;<\/li>\n<li>Alaska fishing license\/King Salmon stamp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fishing:\u00a0<\/strong>In addition to construction work, we will incorporate Salmon and Halibut Ocean fishing, Salmon and Trout freshwater fishing, and whale watching.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Licenses:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>An Alaska fishing license is required (it is recommended to also purchase a King Salmon Stamp)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rules: <\/strong>No perfect people allowed. Come as you are, no pretending.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>No drunkenness. Alcohol in moderation is allowed only after all construction and\/or fishing is done for the day. Safety is a must!<\/li>\n<li>Please watch profanity.
