“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.” Romans 1:20

Purpose: To build meaningful relationships with other outdoorsmen for the purpose of leading them to, or back to, Jesus Christ.

Keynote speaker: Dane LePlatt, Campus Pastor – Sagebrush Church, Farmington Campus

Dates: Primary check in will begin on Thursday, August 5th at 5pm.  If you will not be able to check in by 8pm on Thursday, please let us know ahead of time.  The event will officially end at 8am on Sunday, August 8th.

Liability/Minors:  All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver at sign in. Participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian present at the event.

Lodging: Wilderness Outfitter Productions lodge

Directions: Will be provided via e-mail.

Registration: First registered first reserved!  Residents in the 4 Corners region will be given priority.  Registration for out of state participants will open on July 5th.

Fishing: We will have volunteers (sherpas) present to lead fishing groups of 3, both via wading and drift boat. Our volunteers are paying their way for the event and are not professionals or licensed guides.  This is a buddy trip with friends, not a guided trip. Sherpas can not accept tips, but please bring cash to assist with gas and other expenses. Each participant needs to bring their own fishing gear.  Please feel free to contact Dustin for some advice on appropriate gear.

Each Sherpa will be assigned a party each day during our morning/evening gatherings.  While we keep fathers and sons together, usually you will be fishing with people you don’t know.  This is done purposefully so please don’t be surprised.  Additionally, we will try to pair volunteer Sherpas with parties suitable to their preferred method of fishing, but please remember to be flexible as this won’t always be possible.

Meals: Lunch and dinner will be provided for both Friday and Saturday. We will serve breakfast each morning.   Drinks and snacks will be available in limited amounts, but plan to bring your favorite soft drinks. You may also want to pack food and drinks to bring with you while you’re fishing.

Freebies/Door prizes: Everyone present at the event will receive an event t-shirt and an entry for the door prize drawing that will be held on Saturday night. If you’d like to donate door prizes , please contact Dustin Rardin at the number provided below.

Rules:

  1. No perfect people allowed. Come as you are, no pretending.
  2. No drunkenness. Alcohol in moderation is allowed only after fishing is done for the day. Safety is a must!
  3. Please watch profanity. We want to keep the environment kid friendly.
  4. Have a good time.

What to bring:

  • Valid New Mexico fishing license
  • Fishing tackle
  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • Toiletries and bath towel
  • Snacks and drinks for in the field
  • A willing attitude that’s eager to help make it work and have a good time.  Remember, everyone at the event is a volunteer.  Set your expectations as though you are going on a weekend trip with friends, not a guided hunt!
