No archery and no shotguns.\nAll youth hunters must successfully pass a range and safety test prior to hunting. Each youth must be capable of consistently hitting a paper plate at 100 yards to participate.  Decision of the Range Boss to pass/fail is final.  Please sight in your rifle and have your youth hunter practice prior to the event.\nBoth parent and youth must wear a hunter orange cap and vest at all times in the field.\nAll rules and regulations for Texas Parks & Wildlife apply. No guns should be loaded until the vehicle dropping off is out of sight.  Guns should be unloaded with action open at least ten minutes before arranged pick up times.\nHunters/parents are encouraged to mark where an animal was shot but may not leave sight of the blind.  A Blast & Cast volunteer will assist with wounded animal recovery.\nGutting your harvested animal at or near your hunting area will not be allowed. We will hunt on Saturday\, November 14\, 2026 at Playa Lake Farm and Ranch\, 2605 Woodrow Road\, Lubbock\, TX 79423. \nMeals:  All meals are included.  Dinner on the evening of November 13th will be provided at the Lodge.  On Saturday we will have breakfast burritos before heading out to hunt with lunch provided at the Lodge afterwards for all participants.  Some drinks will be provided with the meals\, but it is recommended that participants bring their own drinks while in the field.  Alcohol will not be allowed prior to or during the hunt. \nRules: \n\nPerfect people are not allowed. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15 NIV \nPurpose:  To have the opportunity to have another event for the community of fisherman\, and create space where people can invite friends and get to know one another more and have honest gospel-centered conversations. \nDate:  Saturday\, November 14\, 2026 \nGuest Speaker:   TBD \nRegistration:  Ticket Cost: Adult/Youth Participants – $10.00   Volunteer Boat Owners – $10.00  \n*Space is limited\, so please register now. \nAge Limitations/Restrictions:  None.  All participants under the age of 18 must attend with a parent or guardian.  Limit 1 youth participant per parent/guardian. \nLocation:  Mike McCue Boat Ramp\, 2510 2nd Ave N\, Jacksonville Beach\, FL 32250 \nActivities:  Men in Jacksonville are invited to join us for a half-day of fishing the inshore coastal waters of Jacksonville\, FL.  We will meet at the Beach Blvd (Mike McCue) boat ramp the morning of November 14th. The local bait shop is called Jax Beach Bait and Tackle\, which is on the left-hand side of the road as you drive in (they open at 6:00 AM so be there early so you’re not late to our am meetup!).  We will launch boats and plan to leave the dock at 6:40 AM.  Sunrise is at 6:52 AM\, and the low tide is at 7:06 AM.  We plan to meet at the ramp at 11:30 AM.  After our time on the water\, we will group up shortly where we will share stories and hear a short devotional from a guest speaker before grabbing lunch at Dockside Seafood.  We have generous volunteers providing the boats\, so all you will need to bring is your own lucky fishing pole and gear.  Tips will not be allowed but help with fuel expenses and ice is appreciated.  You may want to consider bringing some snacks and drinks for yourself on the boat. \nPrizes:  We will give away a TFO inshore fishing rod. \nMeals:  Please bring snacks and drinks to have on the boat. We will gather for lunch afterward at Dockside Seafood located next to the boat ramp. \nRules: \n1. Please be on time and plan to stay until around 1:30 pm. \n2. No perfect people allowed. Our volunteer boat owners are paying their way and are not professionals – nor are they licensed guides. No tips are allowed\, but gas in the tank and your share of other expenses is expected. Please bring cash to assist with boat gas\, ice\, and bait. Each volunteer boat owner will be assigned a fishing party each day. While we keep fathers and sons together\, usually you will be fishing with people you don’t know. This is done purposefully so please don’t be surprised. Additionally\, we will try to pair volunteer boat owners with parties suitable to their preferred method of fishing\, but please remember to be flexible as this won’t always be possible. \nIf weather allows and we have the boats volunteer for the event\, we may fish offshore.  Only participants willing and able to split fuel\, tackle\, and ice expenses will be selected to fish offshore.  Volunteer boat owners will be introduced to their parties in our meetings. Please see your volunteer boat owner for assistance and/or special needs with regard to fishing. \nMeals:  Dinner is provided for both Friday and Saturday night meals. Each fisherman should bring their own rod. Appropriate rods are medium-light to medium action\, 6-7ft long\, either spinning or bait-casting. Monofilament line is typically 12lb test\, braided line is typically 20-30lb test. It’s recommended to put fresh line on reels if you haven’t done so in the last few months. \nArtificial baits – Paddle tail style baits are the easiest to fish. 3-4’’ models in glow/chartreuse\, red/white\, black/chartreuse\, and pumpkinseed are the basics. Weedless spoons in weights from ¼ ounce to ¾ ounce are also easy to fish and effective. Spinner baits like the Redfish Magic can come in handy. Topwater baits like Super Spook Jr’s or Skitter walks (white\, chrome\, or black) can be exciting. DESCRIPTION:Overview: The Coastal Texas Chapter of Blast & Cast will host a whitetail and feral hog hunt in Trinity County for boys aged 7-16 during the 2027 Texas hunting season.  Participants will be selected via an application process. The application deadline is September 15\, 2026. \nCLICK HERE TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION \nPurpose: To build meaningful relationships with other outdoorsmen for the purpose of leading them to\, or back to\, Jesus Christ while simultaneously assisting landowners with whitetail and feral hog population reduction efforts. \nDates:  January 8-10\, 2027  (Please plan to be on site between noon and 1pm on Friday.) \nCost: Free.  This is a donor-supported event.  If you would like to help support the costs associated with the event\, please see the donations section below. \nLodging:  Lodging for the hunt is included.  Location and directions will be provided to hunt participants in advance of the hunt. \nMeals:  Meals for the hunt are included. \nGiveaways: Each youth hunter will receive an event t-shirt and a door prize. \nHunting: \nThe Trinity County hunt will take place on private land. Landowners and volunteers will be on hand to aid in transportation to and from hunting locations.  A Blast & Cast volunteer will sit with each father/child in the blind to help ensure that harvest goals and restrictions are met.  Participants will be allowed to harvest one whitetail doe and any feral hogs encountered. \nRequirements: \n\nYouth aged 7-17 are eligible\, and only youth may harvest game.  A male parent or legal guardian must attend with the youth hunter\, and both parent and youth must have a valid TPWD hunting license.\nScoped centerfire rifles only. .243 caliber minimum. No archery and no shotguns.\nAll youth hunters must successfully pass a range test prior to hunting. Each youth must be capable of consistently hitting a paper plate at 100 yards to participate.  Decision of the Range Boss to pass/fail is final.  Please sight in your rifle and have your youth hunter practice prior to the event.\nAll rules and regulations for Texas Parks & Wildlife apply. It is suggested that you read all county regulations and download the TPWD app (https://tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdoor-annual/app/) prior to the hunt.\nAll guns around camp must remain unloaded\, in a gun case\, and inside a locked vehicle at all times. No guns inside the lodge or camp area. During transport to and from hunting locations\, all guns must be kept unloaded with action open at all times. No guns should be loaded until the vehicle dropping off is out of sight.  Guns should be unloaded with action open at least ten minutes before arranged pick up times.\nHunters/parents are encouraged to mark where an animal was shot but may not leave sight of the blind.  A Blast & Cast volunteer will assist with wounded animal recovery.\nGutting your harvested animal at or near your hunting area will not be allowed. There will be designated areas to process game.\nHunters/parents must field dress and quarter their own animals.  Blast & Cast volunteers will be present to assist anyone that does not know how.\nNo consumption of alcoholic beverages allowed before or during hunting hours. Drinking in moderation will be allowed after hunting. Matthew 4:19-20 NKJV \nJoin us in Broken Bow\, Oklahoma for 3 days of fly fishing on the Mountain Fork River. \nPurpose:  To build meaningful relationships with other outdoorsmen for the purpose of leading them to\, or back to\, Jesus Christ. \nDates:  February 26 – 28\, 2027 \nLodging:  We will be staying at Riverhawk Bunkhouse Lodge\, 256 Wild Goose Road\, Broken Bow\, OK 74728 Riverhawk Bunkhouse Lodge \nCost: $150 for fishermen\, $75 for pre approved volunteers.  This cost includes all meals and lodging. \nAge restrictions: Minimum age for participants is 7.  Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  Liability waiver to be signed at check-in. \nFishing:  Participants will enjoy a weekend of Christian fellowship and fly fishing on the Mountain Fork River.  Please bring your own fly fishing tackle including waders. \nMeals:  All meals included. \nGiveaways: If you’d like to donate door prizes or fishing tackle\, please contact Andrew Green or Sean Christy at the phone number listed below. \nRules: \n\nPerfect people are not allowed. DESCRIPTION:“Greater love has no one than this\, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13 NKJV \nJoin us at Eagle Mountain Lake in Forth Worth\, Texas for 3 days of fishing and fellowship. \nPurpose:  This event is designed to build meaningful relationships with other outdoorsmen for the purpose of leading them to\, or back to\, Jesus Christ. \nLodging:  Camp Broadway\, 8400 Eagle Mountain Circle\, Fort Worth\, TX 76135. \nCost:  Adult Participants – $150; Youth Participants – $75; Volunteer Boat Owners – $0.  All meals and lodging are included. \nAge restrictions: Minimum age for participants is 7.  Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  Liability waiver to be signed at check-in. \nActivities: Check-in for the event will be Friday shortly after lunch. Once everyone is checked in\, we will begin our briefings\, meet your boat captains then depart for afternoon fishing. Friday evening will consist of dinner followed by our first devotional. Saturday morning will begin with breakfast\, a short devotion then depart for fishing. Lunchtime will be at each groups’ discretion at one of the restaurants on the water and usually depends on how the fishing goes. Afternoon fishing is also at the discretion of each group…either way you will be able to fish as much as you want. Saturday evening will be filled with hanging out at Camp Broadway’s 48 acres including the main cabin\, firepit\, and hiking trails. If they choose to do so\, please replace it\nCash for boat gas\, ice\, or any live bait you would like to use\nSunscreen\, hat\, and sunglasses (prepare for all weather conditions)\nBed roll/sleeping bag/blanket\, pillow\, towel\, toiletries\nOutdoor sitting chair\nFilet knife and ziploc bags – please plan to clean your own fish if you choose to retain any\nCooler to bring fish home\nA willing attitude and eagerness to help make it work and have a good time.  Remember\, everyone there is a volunteer\, so set your expectations as though you are going on a weekend trip with friends.\n\nSuggested tackle:  Plan to fish for crappie\, white bass\, hybrid stripers\, and largemouth bass. Some boats\, particularly those with kids\, may pursue catfish. Each fisherman should bring their own rod. It’s recommended to put fresh line on reels if you haven’t done so in the last few months. Best artificial lures for hybrids and white bass are jigging spoons and swim jigs. Best artificial lures for largemouth bass are spinnerbaits\, crankbaits\, and soft plastics. For catfish\, cut bait\, shrimp\, and stink baits can be used but will require terminal tackle such as barrel weights\, swivels\, and circle hooks.
