Volunteer Boat Owners must be approved by the event organizers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Age limitations\/restrictions:\u00a0 <\/strong>Minimum age is <strong>16<\/strong> years old. Youth participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fishing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Join us for a 3-Day fishing event designed to promote Christian fellowship and authenticity, and to introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to outdoorsmen through the West Texas and Central Texas Chapters of Blast &amp; Cast Men&#8217;s Ministries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Prizes will be given out in three different categories: Traditional Gear, Fly-Fishing Gear, and Kayak Fisherman Gear.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Participants will receive daily boat assignments from our event organizers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meals:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please bring snacks and drinks to bring on the boat.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Friday: Dinner on your own (Elm Creek Grill is open until 6 pm.)<\/li>\n<li>Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner provided<em>.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Sunday Breakfast provided.<\/li>\n<li>There is a Bait Store \/ Gas Station\/ Restaurant at the location<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>No perfect people allowed. Come as you are, no pretending.<\/li>\n<li>Alcohol will not be allowed on boats but will be allowed in moderation after the boat is on the trailer.<\/li>\n<li>Please be mindful of your language when youth participants are around.<\/li>\n<li>Have a good time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>What to bring:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is a Bait Store \/ Gas Station \/ Restaurant at the location.<\/li>\n<li>Valid Texas fishing license with freshwater endorsement.<\/li>\n<li>Drinks and Snacks for the boat.<\/li>\n<li>Everyone should bring their own fishing tackle and gear for bass\/crappie\/catfish fishing.\u00a0 Please don&#8217;t expect volunteer boat owners to lend out their gear or tackle.<\/li>\n<li>Filet knife and Ziploc bags \u2013 plan to clean your own fish, please.<\/li>\n<li>A cooler to bring fish home.<\/li>\n<li>Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses.<\/li>\n<li>A willing attitude that\u2019s eager to help make it work and have a good time \u2013 remember, everyone there is a volunteer, so set your expectations as though you are going on a weekend trip with friends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Suggested tackle:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Plan to fish for Bass and Crappie and possibly catfish. Each fisherman should bring their own rod. Appropriate rods are medium-light to medium action, 6-7ft long, either spinning or bait-casting or a 5-8 weight Fly Rod with a sink tip or shooting head. For traditional gear, 12lb test monofilament or 20-30lb test braided line is recommended. We also recommend putting fresh line on reels if you haven\u2019t done so in the last few months. **Note: David Guajardo, the operator of the onsite Elm Creek Bait Store, knows the lake well.
