PARTICIPANTS MUST BE WILLING TO WADE WITH THEIR OWN GEAR AND BE SELF-SUFFICENT WHILE WADING. NEW ANGLERS AND THOSE WISHING TO BRING CHILDREN SHOULD ATTEND ONE OF OUR SPRING\/SUMMER FISHING EVENTS.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong>\u00a0 Thursday, February 26, 2026 &#8211; Sunday, March 1, 2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guest Speaker:\u00a0<\/strong>Rob Purdy<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>$395 &#8211; Adult Participants (Age 16+)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>$250 &#8211; Volunteer Boat Owners<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Age limitations\/restrictions:<\/strong> The minimum age for this event is 16 years old.\u00a0 All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver at check-in, and participants under 18 years of age must have a parent, grandparent, or guardian present at the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Check-In\/Check-Out:<\/strong> Primary check-in will take place on Thursday, February 26 at 6:00 pm at the lodge. Everyone must check out by 11:00 am on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lodging and Meals:\u00a0<\/strong>We will be lodging and dining with the fabulous Horn, Fin, and Feather on the El Sauz Ranch located just outside of Port Mansfield.\u00a0 Participants will enjoy breakfasts and dinners prepared by the onsite chef.\u00a0 You can find more information about Horn, Fin, and Feather at <a href=\"https:\/\/hornfinfeather.com\/\">Horn Fin Feather<\/a>.\u00a0 Participants should be prepared to pack lunches to bring on the boat for Friday and Saturday as most boats will stay out through the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fishing:\u00a0<\/strong>We will be wading Port Mansfield for trophy speckled trout at this event, with all day wades and lunch on the boat anticipated for both Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>All participants should be ready and able to wade fish with artificial lures.\u00a0 While our volunteers are always happy to give some instruction and assistance, each participant is responsible for bringing their own fishing gear and tackle and should be largely self-sufficient on the water.<\/p>\n<p>All fishing takes place via volunteers who are donating the use of their boat (and fuel) for the weekend. Each volunteer will be assigned a party each day.\u00a0 While we keep fathers and sons together, usually you will be fishing with people you don\u2019t know.\u00a0 This is done purposefully so please don\u2019t be surprised.\u00a0\u00a0Please note that our volunteer boat owners are receiving no compensation for their services and are paying for their spots at the event.\u00a0 They are not professionals and are simply volunteering their boats and know-how so that you can have a good time.\u00a0 Because of this, please take the utmost care of their gear and plan to share in any expenses incurred (such as gas for the boat).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Donations:<\/strong> Donations are tax deductible!\u00a0 Our events do not operate at a profit so we are dependent on donations to fund the organization and maintain the low-cost nature of our events. \u00a0We are currently seeking individual, corporate, and church partnerships to assist in our effort to reach outdoorsmen.\u00a0 Financial and merchandise donations are accepted.\u00a0 If you would like to be a part of the Blast &amp; Cast mission, please contact us at info@blastandcast.org for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rules: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>No perfect people allowed. We want to keep the environment kid friendly.<\/li>\n<li>Have a good time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>What to Bring: <\/strong>Valid Texas saltwater fishing license.\u00a0 Waders, rain gear, sunscreen.\u00a0 Knives and baggies to clean your own fish if you choose to retain any.\u00a0 Fishing gear and tackle.\u00a0 An open mind, an open heart, and a good attitude.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contact
