Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n

To point outdoorsmen to the cross by introducing local bass anglers, businesses, and churches to the East Texas Chapter of Blast & Cast Men’s Ministries.<\/p>\n

Saturday, June 14th,<\/strong>\u00a0from 5:30 am<\/strong> until 1:00 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Free!\u00a0<\/strong> Space is limited so register now.\u00a0 We will prioritize opportunities for those who have not attended Blast & Cast events in the past.\u00a0 Veteran Blast & Cast participants should find a way to volunteer and support the event.<\/p>\n

Age limitations\/restrictions: <\/strong>No age limit. All youth must attend with a parent or guardian.<\/p>\n

Fishing:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Join us to enjoy a morning of bass and\/or crappie fishing on Houston County Lake near Crockett, TX. We will meet at the Crockett Lakefront RV Resort & Marina in front of the store and launch the boats at the marina after boat assignments and a quick prayer. After a morning of fishing, we will meet back at the store to have lunch, share stories, and hear a devotion.\u00a0 All boats are owned and operated by volunteers, not guides, so participants should bring their own fishing gear and expect to split any expenses. Tips are not allowed but help with fuel expenses and ice is appreciated. While fathers and sons stay together, we try to pair anglers with people that they do not know in order to help make new relationships, so don’t be surprised by this. After a great morning on the water, we hope you’ll have a new fishing buddy and some stories to share over lunch.<\/p>\n

Pizza, wings, and snacks are available for purchase at the marina.\u00a0 Please bring snacks and drinks for on the boat.<\/p>\n

Rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. No perfect people allowed. Come as you are, no pretending.<\/li>\n
  2. Alcohol will not be allowed on boats but will be allowed in moderation after the boat is on the trailer.<\/li>\n
  3. Please be mindful of your language when youth participants are around.<\/li>\n
  4. Have a good time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
