Lake Jackson, TX Men’s Morning Clay Shoot and Afternoon Fishing Trip with Cornerstone Church

Purpose:
To build relationships in the Lake Jackson community and point outdoorsmen to the cross.

Saturday, October 10th at 9:00am
Location: Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene, 3007 TX-332, Lake Jackson, TX 77566
Registration:
Free! This is a men’s event being conducted in partnership with the men’s ministry at Cornerstone Church. Minimum age to shoot is 14.
What to bring:
- Shotgun
- Two boxes of shotgun shells
- One box of sporting clays (pick up at any Academy of Walmart)
- Hearing and eye protection
- Fishing rod and tackle for saltwater fishing
- Lawn chair
Shooting:
We will have stations set up on the church grounds for a fun morning of shooting clays. Volunteers will be on site to ensure safety and assist new shooters as needed. Minimum age for participation is 14 years old.
Fishing:
After lunch, participants will depart from the church for an afternoon fishing trip. Volunteers with boats will be on hand to take people fishing in area bays for speckled trout, redfish, and flounder. Participants should bring their own saltwater fishing gear.
Meals:
Lunch will be provided.
Rules:
- No perfect people allowed. Come as you are, no pretending.
- Because this is a shooting event, no alcohol will be permitted.
- Please be mindful of your language when youth participants are around.
- Have a good time.
