“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered
fish of every kind.” Mathew 13:47 ESV
Join us on beautiful Lake Livingston for 3 days of fishing for white bass, catfish, and hybrid stripers.
Purpose: To enjoy a weekend of fishing and fun on Lake Livingston while creating relationships that point outdoorsmen to the cross.
Dates: June 12 – 14, 2026
Lodging: We will be staying at the beautiful Birdhouse on the Lake on the East shore of Lake Livingston. Lodging for Friday and Saturday nights included. The address for the lake house is 6654 FM 3126, Livingston, TX 77351. The website is www.birdhouseonthelake.com and they have a Facebook page as well if you’d like to check it out.
Meals: Supper on Friday and Saturday night, and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday are included. Plan to eat lunch at the lakeside restaurants on Saturday. Snacks and drinks will be provided in limited quantities… please bring your favorite snacks and drinks and a little extra to share.
Fishing: Volunteers will be present along with boats to take participants fishing. We’ll spend our days fishing for white bass, catfish, and hybrid stripers. After our evening meals, we will hear words of encouragement and a challenge from a speaker.
Our volunteers are NOT licensed captains or guides and are paying their way to attend the event with you, so please treat this like a trip with friends and be prepared to help with any fuel/ice/bait expenses incurred while fishing. Each volunteer boat owner will be assigned a fishing party each day. While we keep fathers and sons together, usually you will be fishing with people you don’t know. This is done purposefully so please don’t be surprised. Additionally, we will try to pair volunteer boat owners with parties suitable to their preferred method of fishing, but please remember to be flexible as this won’t always be possible. Volunteer boat owners will be introduced to their parties in our meetings.
Age Restrictions: The style of fishing at this event is very kid-friendly, so youth participants are encouraged. Youth anglers must attend with a parent or guardian, limit one youth angler per parent/guardian. No exceptions. Youth anglers must bring a properly fitting life vest.
