Purpose: Turkey Hunt and Training Event to train and equip new volunteers.
Keynote speakers: Bruce Petty and Derek Martin
Dates: Primary check-in will begin on Friday, April 14th at 4:00 pm. If you will not be able to check in by 9 pm on Friday, please let us know ahead of time. The event will officially end at 12:00 pm on Sunday, April 16th.
Liability/Age Limit: All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver at sign-in. Age limit: 18 yrs and above.
Lodging: LePlatt Lodge on the San Juan (https://lodge-san-juan.com/)
Registration: Online registration by invitation only. This event is open to current or potential volunteers.
Cost: $75.00
Hunting: Volunteers will take three (3) people each to designated sections of the legal hunting area.
Each hunting participant is required to bring their own gear (listed below). Participants should anticipate hiking into hunting locations. We will have volunteers present to lead hunting parties each morning. Please remember to be flexible and work together to make the event work.
Meals: Meals will be provided – (Dinner on Friday | Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday | Breakfast on Sunday). Plan to bring your favorite drinks and snacks. If you’d like to help out on the cook crew, please let us know in advance!

Rules:
- No perfect people allowed. Come as you are, no pretending.
- No drunkenness. Alcohol in moderation is allowed only after hunting is done for the day. Safety is a must!
- Please watch profanity. We want to keep the environment kid friendly.

- A willing attitude that’s eager to help make it work and have a good time. Remember, everyone at the event is a volunteer. Set your expectations as though you are going on a weekend trip with friends, not a guided hunt!
