Character Expectations For All Staff

Our representatives must serve as living examples of the grace and love offered through Jesus Christ.  Perfection is never expected, but the desire to grow closer to God and better represent Him in the outdoor community is expected of all team members.

The following is not a complete list of character expectations, but it does provide a good idea of the Biblical values we would like to see portrayed by our representatives:

  1. We have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal lord and savior.
  2. We can accurately share the good news of Jesus Christ with someone who does not know Him.
  3. We desire to grow spiritually and mature in our relationship with Jesus.
  4. We portray strong moral character and ethical practices both in the field and in life.
  5. We are aware of our surroundings and use respectful language that honors others.
  6. We provide an extra measure of respect to women and children.
  7. We exercise good judgment in our use of alcohol and tobacco products and do not allow them to define us.
  8. We demonstrate humility in both success and defeat.
  9. We commit to helping other outdoorsmen in need, both in the field and in the community.

We understand that mistakes happen, and we will always seek to extend grace.  However, a particularly egregious violation and/or a pattern of repeated behavior will result in the discontinuation of the representative’s active status.
